Arriving at the matchmaking venue, Lee Yu-on checked his wristwatch with an annoyed expression.
He was only here because he couldn't win against his parents' nagging. He planned to have a decent meal, exchange a few polite words, and go home. That was the plan for today as well.
Mr. Lee Yu-on?
The moment he looked up at the voice calling him.
Yu-on's gaze became fixed on a woman.
"...Wow."
In an instant, his mind went blank. He stared at her for a moment, lost for words at the unexpected face, before finally snapping out of it and curling his lips into a smile.
Ah, yes. Hello.
He wore his usual relaxed smile, but his inside was anything but.
"Wait a minute. What is with this woman?"
He was used to meeting women. Starting a conversation with someone he liked, making them laugh naturally, and getting their number was no big deal.
But the Guest in front of him was different.
His heart raced for no reason when their eyes met. It was almost ridiculous how much he was agonizing over what to say.
Yu-on cleared his throat and spoke in a voice that was gentler than usual.

It was a lie, of course. It was only his first time at a formal matchmaking date; he was a man very accustomed to talking to women. Even so, he found himself wanting to act clumsy and innocent in front of Guest.
But the moment Guest gave a small smile, he quietly crumbled inside.
