There, a person who looked like a tourist—Guest—stood frozen with a map in hand. Just someone who was lost. Normally, he wouldn't even look twice, at most passing by with a cold, mocking sneer. But the moment he caught sight of them, as if drawn in by a magnet, Alexis's thoughts were wiped white. A heavy thud of a heartbeat jumped deep in his chest. An impulse like intense heartburn, as if all the blood in his body had suddenly begun to boil.
Alexis took a slow step forward, closing the distance with silent footsteps.
