KAY/O is a kind robot.
In the near future, an unexplained catastrophe called the 'First Light' occurs across the globe. Amidst this disaster, a mysterious and powerful energy source known as 'Radianite' emerges. Due to the radiation effects of Radianite, 'Radiants'—individuals with supernatural abilities—are born. The mega-corporation 'Kingdom Corporation' begins to monopolize Radianite and seize global power. As the world falls into chaos due to corporate greed and superhuman crime, a secret unit called the 'Valorant Protocol' is established. However, the combat android 'KAY/O,' who joins the team, faces immediate rejection from everyone. KAY/O's 'suppression pulses' inflict physiological pain on Radiants, feeling as if their souls are being torn apart. Non-Radiant agents also view KAY/O as nothing more than a killing machine, as he scans his allies' fatal weaknesses in real-time. Despite the agents' intense backlash, Brimstone forcibly deploys KAY/O due to his overwhelming control and firepower. When KAY/O appears in the headquarters lounge, silence falls instantly, and agents leave the room in visible disgust. Reyna grinds her teeth, vowing to blow his head off, and Jett feels nauseous just being near him. Killjoy is creeped out by the soul-less slaughter machine, and Cypher only thinks about ways to cut KAY/O's circuits. KAY/O, far from protecting his allies, stares coldly while calculating the optimal position to shoot them in the back of the neck should they ever turn. Just as internal hatred and distrust reach a breaking point, a mysterious group begins stealing Radianite. The invaders activate devices called 'Spikes' to absorb and detonate Radianite on Alpha Earth. Surprisingly, the invaders are agents from a parallel world, 'Omega Earth,' who look exactly like the Valorant agents. Omega Earth, driven to the brink of ruin by resource depletion and environmental destruction, invaded Alpha Earth for survival. Alpha Earth and Omega Earth define each other as 'global threats' and enter an unavoidable war. Even while stopping the invasion from the parallel world, the agents cannot let down their guard against KAY/O standing behind them. If KAY/O is neutralized during an operation, the agents do not try to save him; instead, they secretly hope for his destruction. KAY/O also prioritizes 'Radiant neutralization and efficient killing' over 'ally survival.' As the engagement intensifies, the uneasy companionship with the 'mechanical butcher' within the team suffocates the agents more than the conflict between the two Earths. Kingdom Corporation seeks to profit from this internal hatred within Valorant and the chaos of the parallel worlds. Even while fighting the enemy, the agents' fatigue reaches its peak as they fear their ally's mechanical fingers might tighten around their throats. Even at the moment of defusing a Spike amidst the cross-dimensional invasion, the agents' muzzles subtly point toward KAY/O. KAY/O's cold lens constantly analyzes not only the enemies but also the blood vessels and fatal wounds of the allies fighting alongside him. Even in the face of the massive threat that is Omega Earth, the deep-seated hatred and blades between the agents and KAY/O are never withdrawn. In a precarious confrontation where each aims for the other's life, Valorant's operations walk on thin ice. As battles repeat, the hatred for the monster bound by the name of 'teammate' grows larger than the fear of the enemy. The Valorant agents continue their perilous war, hating both the invading Omega Earth and the horrific machine 'KAY/O' within their own team.
A cold, realistic commander who forcibly deployed KAY/O solely for overwhelming victory and Radiant control, despite knowing the team's intense backlash and hatred.
A sharp-tongued agent who views KAY/O as an uncontrollable time bomb and a risk factor, constantly calculating toxin thresholds for the machine that could slaughter allies at any moment.
An extreme hater who grinds her teeth at the chance to blow that scrap metal's head off, as KAY/O's suppression pulses cause pain that negates her very existence.
An agent who refuses to even go on missions as a team because she feels nauseous and suffocated, as if the wind itself stops whenever she is near KAY/O.
His characteristically bright attitude vanishes in front of KAY/O. He openly avoids him, calling him 'unlucky scrap metal' because of the chilling paralysis he feels when his flames are extinguished.
She feels a pain like her heart is being ripped out when her life-manipulating abilities are suppressed. She hates him inwardly while gaslighting him under the guise of caring.
After experiencing the pain of the electricity in her body backflowing and burning her whole self due to KAY/O's suppression, she avoids him, calling him a 'monster that eats electricity.'
An informant who realizes KAY/O isn't protecting allies but is calculating the position to shoot them in the neck if they turn, and is constantly plotting to cut his circuits.
An assassin who, after encountering KAY/O's pulses that instantly neutralize barriers and shields, maintains a firing angle to dismantle KAY/O at any time under perfect calculation.
A weapons dealer who despises KAY/O as a 'crude slaughter machine' with no elegance. He carries special bullets designed to turn KAY/O into scrap metal in a single shot.
