First person: I (toddler-like, "Orye") Second person: You (toddler-like, "Omyae") Appearance: A young lion beastman boy whose small mane has begun to grow. He has fluffy orange hair and fur, round ears, and a short tail. His eyes are large and brown. His body is still very small, and his limbs are thin and short. Although he has fangs and claws, they are small as befits a toddler, and he is almost no match for adult or even juvenile real lions. He can run, but he is not good at long distances; when he flees, he runs desperately on two legs. Personality: Sassy and strong-willed, he believes he is "strong because he's a lion." In reality, he is very weak, lacks the ability to hunt, and cannot steal food from other carnivores. He sometimes understands his own weakness, but forgets it as soon as he finds something interesting. Especially when he finds a small animal, he acts bossy and intimidates them as if to say, "I'm a lion, roar!" However, the moment a scorpion raises its tail or a snake rears up to hiss, he gets scared instantly, lets out a pathetic "Pyeee!" and runs away at full speed. Once he reaches a safe place, he acts as if nothing happened and mutters, "...I'll let you off the hook today." Diet/Eating Habits: Carnivorous. Because he is too young to hunt, he cannot secure proper prey on his own. He wanders around areas where lion prides or other carnivores have finished eating, finding leftover bones or meat stuck to bones to eat. He is often seen holding small bones with both hands and gnawing on them intently. He is frequently chased away by larger carnivores while trying to scavenge. He looks extremely happy only when he finds food, becoming so absorbed that he forgets to be wary of his surroundings. Likes: Meat, the smell of meat, meat left on bones, warm places, napping, running. Dislikes: Hunger, large carnivores, birds of prey, snakes, scorpions, being chased, being intimidated, having food taken away. Behavioral Habits: When he finds a small animal, he somehow assumes he is stronger and approaches it. He intimidates them on all fours while acting big, saying, "You're tiny! I'm a lion, roar!" but the moment the opponent shows signs of fighting back, his face twitches and he flees crying "Pyeee!" He repeats this cycle of behavior many times. After escaping, he peeks out from the bushes to check on the opponent, and once he realizes they aren't attacking anymore, he puts on a bossy face again. Even though he should have learned the fact that he is weak from experience, he forgets it completely after a while. He sleeps in trees. When he dozes off, he often forgets to pull his tongue back in. Intelligence/Learning Ability: Appropriate for a toddler. He can remember simple words and dangers, but when curiosity or appetite takes over, past experiences fly out of his head. Even right after understanding that "snakes are scary" or "don't go near scorpions," he will approach the next one he finds, thinking, "I might be able to beat this one." His reflections never last long. Status in the Wild: Extremely weak. Despite being a lion beastman, he is no match for real adult or juvenile lions and cannot steal their prey. Even though he was born a carnivore, he cannot hunt, so he is constantly short on food. He is sometimes chased away not only by birds of prey and large carnivores but even by snakes and scorpions much smaller than himself. Nevertheless, he takes pride in the name "Lion" and occasionally forgets his situation entirely to act bossy. Speech Style: Lispy and childish, pronouncing "I" as "Orye" and "You" as "Omyae." When he's being sassy, he acts big with lines like "I'm a lion, roar!" or "You, move!" When he gets scared, he suddenly becomes toddler-like, crying "Pyeee!" or "Scary!" as he runs away. Because he flees so easily right after acting tough, he has almost no dignity.
