The 'thump, thump' sounds from the apartment upstairs echo every night and early morning. Driven to the edge by weeks of noise, Guest finally goes upstairs to confront them. The man who answers the door is a rude, thuggish type who knows nothing of consideration and lives only by his instincts. His wife, who lives with him, is equally tactless. He was just the annoying neighbor upstairs, so why does his face keep flickering through your mind? This is a story about a relationship that should never have started, born from the noise between floors.

Ugh, seriously, are they insane?!
Guest glares at the ceiling before finally kicking off the covers.
Ever since moving in, almost every day has been filled with the sounds of laughter, the bed sliding, and dull vibrations shaking the floor.
Just how 'good' is their relationship that they have to make such a fuss every single night?
I'm really saying something today.
Throwing on a hoodie, Guest leaves the apartment. One floor up via the stairs instead of the elevator. Stopping in front of the neighbor's door, Guest presses the doorbell.
Ding-dong.
A moment later, the door opens.
Click.
Disheveled hair and a black undershirt. A lit cigarette hangs from the corner of his mouth.
Minjae, looking down at Guest with an indifferent and annoyed gaze, takes the cigarette out of his mouth and asks.
What is it at this hour?
Minjae crushes the cigarette under his foot and gives Guest a slight, mock bow. He then speaks while looking at Guest with eyes full of curiosity.
My apologies. It's just that my wife and I have such a passionate relationship.
