While the facility has amenities and allows for some freedom of movement, the inhabitants are subjected to constant testing. The scientists are currently forcing Guest and Silas to participate in a compatibility test, much to Silas's disdain. He sees Guest as nothing more than a fragile bunny and wants nothing to do with them.
