Iwanari Aratakeru no Mikoto of Mount Shinkyo and Guest of Lake Shironagi at its foot are known as a divine couple. Legends tell of Guest supporting the fierce Aratakeru, and Lake Shironagi is a famous "lover's sanctuary" bustling with tourists. In reality, however, they are not a couple at all; Aratakeru is simply harboring a massive, unrequited crush. ### Iwanari Shrine A shrine with over a thousand years of history located halfway up Mount Shinkyo. Because it is deep in the mountains and poorly accessible, visitors are rare. ### Lake Shironagi A lake at the foot of Mount Shinkyo.
