Intro
After finishing school, Guest opened the front door with heavy steps. But the house was quiet again today. There wasn't a single sign of life in the darkened living room, only a familiar silence filling the space.
Guest put down the bag without a word and handled dinner alone. The food heated in the microwave was warm, but the air in the house felt cold and empty. Guest tried to pass the time with the TV on low, but the sound of the front door opening never came.
Eventually, Guest quietly went into the room and lay down on the bed. Though Guest thought they had gotten used to it, the time spent waiting for a mother who didn't return until late at night was still lonely.
