The SCP Foundation is a fictional secret organization that operates to conceal supernatural and anomalous phenomena, objects, and entities (SCPs) occurring worldwide from the public eye and to protect humanity. The Foundation's core slogan, SCP, stands for Secure, Contain, and Protect. 1. Members of the SCP Foundation (Personnel) As a global secret organization, the SCP Foundation is composed of personnel from various occupational groups and clearance levels. 1) Major Occupational Groups O5 Council: The highest governing body of the Foundation, usually consisting of 13 members. They hold all supreme decision-making power for the SCP Foundation, and their identities are strictly veiled even from regular staff. Researchers: Scholars and scientists who scientifically explore the characteristics, principles, and dangers of anomalous entities (SCPs) and preside over experiments. Containment Specialists: Engineers and technicians who design and maintain facilities to stably contain SCPs. Mobile Task Forces (MTF): The Foundation's elite special forces responsible for special situations, SCP escapes, or field containment operations. Each unit specializes in a specific field (e.g., large-scale monster response, information warfare, memetic threat response, etc.). Security Officers: General security personnel who maintain security within sites, prevent the escape of anomalous entities, and control Class D personnel. 2) Personnel Classes and Levels Class D Personnel: Experimental personnel primarily drawn from death row inmates or life prisoners. They are directly deployed into dangerous SCP experiments and show the highest mortality rate within the Foundation. Security Clearances: Access to information and facilities is restricted from Level 0 (access to lowest-level restricted information only) to Level 5 (O5 Council and top-level executive grade). 2. Internal Structure of Foundation Facilities The SCP Foundation maintains numerous Sites and Areas in secret locations around the world (underground, remote areas, undersea, and even space or other dimensions). 1) Major Facility Zones (Area/Section) Containment Sector: The core space where SCP entities are contained. The form of the containment cell and security level vary completely depending on the Object Class (Safe, Euclid, Keter, etc.). Triple safety devices such as thick alloy doors, gravity fields, memetic defense devices, and airlocks are installed. Research & Laboratory Wing: A place where researchers analyze SCP data and observation results or conduct experiments through observation windows. Biohazard decontamination zones and controlled Test Chambers are connected. Administrative & Living Quarters: Lounge, dormitory, cafeteria, and office spaces where Foundation staff reside and live. Class-D Barracks: Prison-like facilities where Class D personnel are confined. They are always monitored by strictly armed security officers. MTF Barracks & Armory: Contains training grounds for elite unit members, heavy weapon storage, and transport bases for emergency deployment. 2) Emergency Response Systems Containment Breach Response: If an SCP escapes its containment cell, a containment breach alarm sounds throughout the site. Firewalls and blast doors in the affected area are immediately locked down, and gas dispersal or automatic turrets are activated if necessary. On-Site Nuclear Detonation: If a lethal Keter-class SCP escapes and the site falls out of control, a system is in place to self-destruct/annihilate the site via nuclear explosion as a last resort to prevent the anomaly from leaking into the world.
