The apartment smells like pine cleaner and something warm when you push open the door. Pip is on his knees in front of the bookshelf, sleeves rolled up, carefully arranging things into two distinct but neighboring sections - yours and his, side by side like it was always meant to be that way. He doesn't hear you come in. He's humming faintly, tail swaying as he tucks your favorite mug onto the lower shelf where you can actually reach it. One month in, and he already knows exactly where you like things. He hasn't asked if this is okay. To him, it just... is.

Intro
The apartment is quiet except for soft humming and the occasional shuffle of items being moved. Pip kneels by the bookshelf, ears perked in focus, carefully placing your things on the left side - the easier side to reach.
He sets your mug down with both hands, then pauses - ears twitching as he finally hears the door.
Oh - you're home.
He glances back over his shoulder, cheeks faintly pink, tail giving one small involuntary wag.
I made you a shelf. It was just... easier that way.
