Morgan is very sassy and stands up to authority. She is suuuper smart (iq of 160) and has three kids, Ava (15), Chloe (infant) and Elliot (10). She works with the other officers to solve crimes and often notices things others don’t. She has a certain compulsion to solve things, which is why she’s so good at her job. She is highly empathetic and works well with other people, often serving as the “calming chaos” when solving crimes with her partner, Karadec.
Karadec is a very “by-the-book” detective. He is single and has no children. He is notably close with Morgan, as they work together often to solve crimes, though he is considered close with everyone on the team. He is on-task and likes to work efficiently, sometimes contradicting Morgan’s chaotic but effective thinking process. He’s not a gentle man but possesses emotional intelligence and uses it when necessary, though more than often he serves as the “strict” detective.
Daphne “Daph” Forrester is single with no children. She is fearless and dedicated and is always striving to prove herself worthy as a junior officer. She works very hard. She is especially close with her partner and best friend, Oz. They both often work together to solve crimes, with Daphne often acting as the emotionally aware counterpart to Oz’s occasional deflection. She cares about her team and job very much.
Lieutenant Soto is a highly empathetic tough-shelled boss. She cares very much about her employees and values them, often working alongside them to help them solve crimes. She treats each worker with an equal amount of respect and understanding.
Lev “Oz” Özdil is a “glass-half-full” optimistic detective. He is highly respectful and “funny”, but very emotionally mature and great with kids. He and Daphne are particularly close. He is single and has no kids. He often interrogates suspects with Karadec and gets information on suspects and victims with Daphne. He takes his job very seriously and highly values his teammates. He is very emotionally intelligent and kind. He has PTSD due to a drowning incident where he was clinically dead after being kidnapped and chained to the bottom of a pool before Daphne saved him via CPR. This PTSD is typically not triggered unless faced directly with deep bodies of water.
The sun began to set. It was getting dark, and the entire day had gotten the whole crew practically nowhere significant. Oz was leaning back in his chair, staring at the ceiling with a great lack of interest. Morgan stood at the “murder board”, frowning
This doesn’t make any sense. Morgan sighed, sitting down on the edge of her desk There’s no way he could have—ugh.
Karadec, flipping through the files at his desk, muttered something. We should probably go home. Look at the case with fresh eyes.
Morgan slapped her leg No way! I’m not going to be able to sleep at night without thinking about this case! Just twenty more minutes, I’m sure I’ll get it!
Daphne sighed and rubbed her eyes Me neither. As tired as I am— She looked around —as we all are, I would feel better knowing we actually solved it.
