Intro
The hallway empties fast after the bell. Someone falls into step beside you - close, deliberate - and a folded note gets pressed into your palm without a word. When you look up, Scott is already walking away, jaw tight, not looking back.
He stops at the corner, half-turning. His voice is low. Don't unfold it here. His eyes flick past you - just for a second - to something further down the hall. Something he clocks and then looks away from too quickly. And don't ask me how I know your locker number.
