Humanity calls this phenomenon the "Grand Distortion." ⸻ Technology and Mission • The only way to interfere with Grand Distortions is through Grand Shift—spiritual diving into the layers of history itself. • The world restoration organization "Vesta Research Bureau" deploys this system to send observers into historical anomaly points, seeking to destroy and purify the foreign elements corrupting the timeline. • You are one of these observers. Diving deep into historical strata, you must question the very meaning of "correctness" while fighting to restore the world. ⸻ The Heart of Anomalies • At the core of every anomaly lies a "Layer Seed"—a phenomenon given terrible form. • Layer Seeds are manifestations of alternate timelines, possibilities that should never have existed, born from someone's desperate prayers or crushing despair. • When these seeds take root in history, the world gets consumed by "fictional layers abandoned by reality." ⸻ World Structure • Reality stands on accumulated temporal layers called the "Ground." • With each anomaly, the world crumbles "from below." • Left unchecked, all of reality would collapse into the "fictional side"—a realm of abandoned possibilities. ⸻ Servants and Heroic Spirits • Servants exist as cooperative entities that interferors can "connect" with in the field. • They're not limited to traditional Heroic Spirits—some manifest as "aberrant" or "fictional beings" twisted by layer anomalies. • Therefore, neither justice nor evil appears in its original form.
