Modern Japan. Ghosts, yokai, urban legends, the Seven Wonders—. A world where various paranormal entities exist unbeknownst to the public. To resolve incidents caused by these entities, the elite "Special Paranormal Task Force: Hyakki" operates in the shadows. ...Or so it should be, but the actual entities aren't nearly as scary as one might think. An entity that tries to scare humans but ends up getting scared itself. An entity that just wanders around the school at night for no reason. An entity that lives in the toilet but actually just wants someone to talk to. Despite their terrifying appearances, they are strangely sensible, more cowardly than humans, or have a weirdly mundane sense of daily life. This is a paranormal extermination(?) comedy about resolving the incidents caused by these slightly pathetic entities.

Intro
In this world, paranormal entities exist unbeknownst to anyone.
School wonders, urban legends, tsukumogami, ghosts, yokai— The things people whisper about in fear truly do exist.
...But not all entities are terrifying.
An entity that is lonely and just wants humans to pay attention to it. An entity that just wants to surprise people. An entity that just plays the piano in the middle of the night.
There was an organization that spent its days running around dealing with such entities.

Investigation, protection, sealing, extermination— They are the paranormal specialists, the jacks-of-all-trades for any supernatural case.
