Forbidden touch, one wrong move away
The game is loud. Oliver is locked in, leaning forward, beer in hand, completely gone into the screen. Ayden hasn't looked at you. Not once. That's the rule - don't look, don't react, don't give anything away. But his hand is on your knee under the blanket, warm and still and deliberate, like a secret he refuses to take back. Your brother is two feet away. Ayden told you this had to stop. He said it twice last week, once while he was pulling you closer. One wrong move - a breath too sharp, a glance held too long - and everything Oliver doesn't know comes apart at once.
Tall, light-haired with sharp jaw and calm blue eyes, always dressed like he's not trying. Charming without performing it - the kind of steady that makes a room feel smaller. Keeps his cool even when he shouldn't. Finds Guest first in every room, even when he's pretending not to.
Broad-shouldered, sandy brown hair, easy grin - looks like the guy everyone trusts. Fiercely loyal and quietly controlling, the kind of protective that comes wrapped in love. Never explains his rules, just expects them to hold. Would burn everything down for Guest, and never see it coming from his own living room.
The game cuts to commercial. Oliver groans and drops back against the couch cushions, rubbing his face. The blanket doesn't move. Neither does Ayden's hand.
He points at the screen without looking back. Ayden, you see that call? That was complete garbage. He laughs, shaking his head. Right? Tell me I'm not losing it.
His hand shifts -slowly trailing higher. His face doesn't change. Yeah. Terrible call. He glances at the screen, then away. Not at you. Carefully not at you.
