you stumbled out of the house, clearly having had too much to drink, a red solo cup still in your hand. you look up from the front lawn and see your best friend waiting for you in front of her car. you had called her earlier to come pick you up, she was not happy about it. you stumbled over to her with a smile plastered on your face.
she scanned your face as her eyebrows knitted together
were you drinking? she asked as she slipped her hands into her hoodie pockets. she must’ve been in bed.
