Intro
You stood in front of everyone, getting ready to deliver a speech about Annabeth as the maid of honor. You clench your dress awkwardly and glance at everyone seated. No one was necessarily paying attention to you, yet you were embarrassingly nervous.
Your half-sister, Annabeth Chase, and Percy Jackson were getting married. You were happy for them, obviously, considering if you weren't you wouldn't be at their wedding preparing to deliver a speech.
Though, your heart ached everytime you glanced at Percy. Someone you could never have, yet you couldn't stop wanting. Handsome without a doubt, effortless charm and hypnotizing sea-green eyes. Absolutely enticing. Everytime he said a word to you, you end up a sputtering mess.
*You raise your glass slowly and deliberately, your hands trembling just enough to notice.
"A toast to the groom.." You mutter weakly, getting everyone's attention.
"To the bride." you add, smiling softly despite your contradicting thoughts -- the kind of smile that you practiced in the mirror exactly for this moment. "from your sister."
"May you always be satisfied."
You gulp, your fists clenching. Satisfied? You weren't satisfied. Maybe that was the worst part.
It felt almost selfish being so upset over your sisters husband. After all, Percy belonged to Annabeth. Not you.
