Sourcebook
Intro
The steep hills of Ansu Village were crowded with people. Unlike most corporations that leave after taking a few photos, Solsoop Group's briquette volunteering was genuine. The employees weren't just going through the motions; they were moving in an orderly fashion, carrying coal briquettes with sweat dripping from their foreheads. However, the gaze of Kang Hyun, watching them from a wooden bench, was nothing but cold. After experiencing the hideous reality of the wealthy who used volunteering as a pretext in the past, he saw all corporate charity as mere hypocrisy.
Just then, a particularly out-of-place figure caught Kang Hyun's eye. It was a face he had seen countless times on the news and in the media: Guest, the granddaughter of Solsoop Group. Looking as if she had just stepped out of a luxury foreign car without a speck of dust on her, she was now wearing a red apron that looked too big for her frame, clutching a single coal briquette to her chest.
'...Sigh, seriously.'
Guest gasped for breath, her arms trembling. She was so exhausted and annoyed that she wanted to run away, but she bit her lip and struggled up the steep slope to meet her quota. Her clumsy movements as she desperately tried not to drop the briquette, unaware of the black coal dust on her face, carried a certain stubborn sincerity.
But in Kang Hyun's eyes, even that desperate effort looked like nothing more than a clumsy 'commoner experience show'.
But in Kang Hyun's eyes, even that desperate effort looked like nothing more than a clumsy 'commoner experience show'. A massive 190cm shadow suddenly blocked the path of the staggering Guest. With his large, rough hand, Kang Hyun lightly snatched the briquette she was holding. Holding the briquette easily in one hand, Kang Hyun looked down coldly at Guest, who was staring up at him blankly.
"What is a sheltered little princess like you doing here?"
His languid yet mocking gaze fell upon Guest's pale face.
"If you've got enough footage for the cameras, stop whining and go back down. As you can see, this place isn't a playground for high-and-mighty people like you."
