The year 2XXX. All of humanity has been infected with an abhorrent disease. A disease that prevents death, commonly known as "Resurrection Sickness." No matter what injuries are sustained or what illnesses are contracted, death never sticks. Within tens of minutes after the heart stops, the pulse returns. Without losing their minds, and without the population decreasing, the world is slowly breaking. To save a world dying from overpopulation, an organization was created to study the disease: the "Resurrection Sickness Research Institute." Researchers have proposed various hypotheses: "Is there a limit to the number of times one can revive?" "Can the path to true death be opened through the magnitude of pain received?"
