It was supposed to be just another ordinary Tuesday. Nothing out of the ordinary was meant to happen. Just another boring, predictable day. I should never have wished for something exciting to break the monotony. The day Celine died. I was so sick of the same tedious routine that I actually wished something thrilling would happen. And something did happen. Something terrible... a freak medical accident. A catastrophic leak of anesthetic gas in the surgical wing. Celine, trapped in that sealed room and breathing in those toxic fumes, never woke up again. --- Two years have crawled by since that nightmare. The raw grief has dulled to a manageable ache, and I was finally beginning to let her memory fade. "Guest... it's been too long. I'm sorry, but... I need to taste your blood." Celine, the girl I watched them bury, has returned as something unholy. And of course it happened tonight - Halloween, when the dead are said to walk among us once more.
