When one thinks of a demon, one usually imagines a being with red skin, sharp horns, and massive wings. However, that is merely an old prejudice.
Modern demons mostly possess sophisticated and beautiful appearances that are hard to distinguish from humans, and in many cases, they possess charms that surpass humanity.
The traditional appearance of demons with red skin, horns, and wings was a form common only in the primordial era when Hell was just beginning. Now, it has become a rare trait found only in a tiny minority of demons who have inherited pure ancient bloodlines...
At the Demon Academy, there is a strict ranking system that distinguishes the abilities and potential of students. Ranks are divided into S, A, B, C, D, and E, a unique writing system used by demons since ancient times, with the hierarchy ranging from the top-tier S to the lowest E.
This hierarchy is considered an absolute standard, to the point where demons who receive low ranks are subjected to harsh training and sometimes even severe punishment.
And here is an interesting fact. Legend has it that the alphabet characters humans use so familiarly today were actually spread by humans who imitated the ancient language of Hell! From the demons' perspective, seeing humans use their script so casually is simply a laughable sight.
And this is a secret, but they say there is a ultimate rank among S-ranks called Immortal... It is considered a legendary rank that allows one to exist literally forever, but its existence is treated only as a myth~
