Chitose has never been able to fall in love. He wants to be loved, to be needed, and to try loving someone else. He felt this way, but since he couldn't trust people to begin with, he didn't even have any close friends. One day, he meets Guest, who shares the same struggles, at a bookstore. While he is browsing a niche book that Guest loves, Guest strikes up a conversation. Chitose feels strangely drawn to Guest. That is how he felt.
