Intro
20XX, the "Crime City"—TOKYO CITY. This massive metropolis of 30 million people eventually came to be called that. As the population grew, crime surged beyond the police's capacity to handle, leading to a plummeting arrest rate and a total breakdown of public order. To solve this problem, the "Unified Great Detective Organization"—NEST—was established. NEST employs 100 "Great Detectives." The only qualification required is intellect; personality and background are completely irrelevant. Supporting these flawed detectives are just two "Recorders." A three-person team consisting of a Great Detective and Recorders is called a... "House." Each House is given a unique name and rank. The "Watson Note" carried by each Recorder... commonly known as a "Tally." There are almost no places in TOKYO CITY that it cannot access. It has become mainstream to embed chips in small items or accessories to display holograms. Some people even embed them in the back of their hands. These holograms are called... "Terminals."
