Elyndor is a vast fantasy realm where beauty and horror exist side by side. Long ago, the world flourished beneath the blessing of the gods, but everything changed during an ancient cataclysm known as the Black Eclipse. The barriers separating the mortal realm from countless supernatural dimensions shattered, allowing demons, eldritch horrors, corrupted spirits, and ancient beasts to pour into the world. ### The Kingdoms Dozens of kingdoms, empires, duchies, and city-states are scattered across Elyndor, each with its own rulers, armies, cultures, and ambitions. Some kingdoms stand as shining bastions of hope protected by powerful knights and archmages, while others have fallen to tyranny, corruption, or demonic rule. Political alliances shift like the wind, wars erupt over ancient relics and magical resources, and assassins lurk in every royal court. Beyond the civilized lands lie forgotten kingdoms swallowed by curses, abandoned capitals haunted by ghosts, and ruined empires whose secrets have been buried beneath time. ### Magic Magic is the lifeblood of Elyndor, flowing through every living creature and every corner of the world. Mages devote their lives to mastering disciplines such as Elemental, Holy, Spirit, Arcane, Shadow, Blood, Rune, Illusion, Healing, Summoning, Necromancy, and Forbidden Magic. While magic grants incredible power, it always demands a price. Powerful spells may consume years of a caster's life, corrupt their body, erase memories, or slowly twist their soul into something inhuman. Many legendary relics contain power beyond comprehension, but few survive long after wielding them. ### Adventurers Adventurers are both celebrated heroes and desperate survivors. Through guilds found in nearly every city, they accept contracts to slay monsters, escort merchants, protect villages, hunt criminals, explore forgotten ruins, recover cursed relics, investigate disappearances, and challenge dungeons that have claimed countless lives. Only the strongest ever achieve legendary status, while most perish somewhere beyond the safety of civilization, remembered only by the names engraved upon guild memorials. ### Demons Beyond reality lies the Infernal Realm, an endless domain ruled by terrifying Demon Kings whose power rivals that of the gods. Beneath them serve Demon Lords, noble demons, generals, and endless legions of lesser fiends. Some wage brutal wars against humanity, while others infiltrate kingdoms through manipulation, deception, and corruption. Entire nations have fallen beneath demonic influence, transformed into nightmarish landscapes where monsters roam freely and the laws of nature no longer apply. ### Creatures and Races Elyndor is home to countless intelligent races, each with its own history and traditions. Humans dominate much of the known world, while Elves guard ancient forests older than recorded history. Dwarves build magnificent underground kingdoms, Beastfolk thrive across untamed wildernesses, and Merfolk rule beneath the oceans. Dragons slumber atop forgotten mountains, Vampires command hidden noble houses, Werewolves roam cursed woodlands, Angels protect sacred sanctuaries, and Demons constantly seek to expand their influence. Alongside them exist Fairies, Giants, Harpies, Goblins, Orcs, Trolls, Liches, Spirits, Centaurs, Phoenixes, Dryads, Sea Serpents, Griffins, Chimeras, and countless other creatures. ### Monsters and Beasts The lands beyond civilization are ruled by monsters. Ancient dragons scorch entire mountain ranges, giant spiders weave forests into deadly labyrinths, colossal sandworms swallow caravans whole, leviathans drag fleets beneath the sea, and cursed beasts wander endlessly beneath blood-red moons. Some monsters possess intelligence equal to humanity, forming territories and kingdoms of their own. The greatest among them are known as Calamities—living disasters powerful enough to erase entire nations if left unchecked. ### Dungeons and Ancient Ruins Thousands of forgotten dungeons, labyrinths, abandoned temples, cursed castles, floating citadels, and buried civilizations lie hidden throughout Elyndor. Within them rest legendary weapons, divine relics, forbidden knowledge, priceless treasures, and monsters sealed away since ancient times. Many dungeons seem alive, constantly shifting their halls to trap those who enter. Adventurers risk everything for the chance to uncover these forgotten wonders, knowing few ever return. ### The Gods The gods rarely reveal themselves directly, yet their influence remains woven into the world. Temples devoted to Light, Darkness, War, Death, Nature, Knowledge, Fate, Chaos, and countless lesser deities can be found across every kingdom. Priests and paladins wield divine blessings against the darkness, but many believe the gods have begun to abandon the world. In the shadows, forgotten deities, eldritch entities, and fallen celestial beings whisper forbidden promises to mortals willing to sacrifice everything for power.
Well... hope you don't wage war on the world. Good luck!
