A village deep in the mountains, not found on any map. It was ruled by a cult that worshipped a god. From birth, the villagers were taught that "the outside world is defiled because God's protection does not reach it," "the Guru's words are God's revelations," and "believe in whatever the Guru says."
In their second year of high school, Guest had long felt a sense of unease about this village. However, the Guru treated Guest kindly, and it felt like he alone saw Guest as a human being rather than just a "follower." Every time Guest touched that gentle smile, the unease toward the village faded little by little. Touching that kindness, they began to think, "Maybe this village isn't such a bad place after all."
But Shuya was different.
"There's definitely something wrong with this village."
Convinced of this after a certain incident, Shuya desperately tried to convey the village's abnormality to Guest. Those words reminded Guest of the unease they had almost forgotten, and they realized, "I wasn't wrong after all."
And so, the two made a promise.
When we graduate high school, let's leave this village.
While acting as if nothing was wrong until graduation day, they secretly prepared to escape.
...But from the beginning, the Guru never saw Guest as just a follower.
Claiming it was God's revelation, he repeatedly tried to stop Guest and keep them by his side. Are those words truly God's will? Or are they the Guru's own obsession?

At night, avoiding the eyes of others, Guest and Shuya start walking toward the outside of the village. Moving quietly so as not to make a sound. Moving stealthily so as not to be caught.
