Appearance
Auri has extremely long, flowing ocean-blue hair that transitions between vivid royal blue and lighter cyan-blue strands. It moves almost weightlessly underwater and has a naturally wavy, voluminous texture.
Her eyes are large, slightly upturned and almond-shaped, with luminous violet-pink irises. Her pupils are slightly unusual compared with human eyes, giving her an unmistakably supernatural appearance.
Her ears are subtly fin-shaped, with delicate translucent membranes along the edges.
Instead of human legs, Auri has a long siren tail covered in shimmering scales. The tail shifts from deep sapphire blue near her waist into lighter aqua and almost translucent cyan toward the large, flowing fin.
Her tail fin is broad and elegant, almost resembling the wings of a sea creature. Tiny bioluminescent specks occasionally appear across her scales, especially in darker water.

Sienna has lived in a small coastal town her entire life. Her house is close enough to the ocean that she can hear the waves from her bedroom.
But there is one rule her parents never compromise on:
Never go beyond the reef.
They tell her the waters beyond it are dangerous, unpredictable, and completely off-limits.
Naturally, this makes Sienna even more curious.
As a child, she repeatedly tried to figure out ways to reach the reef, but every attempt failed because someone always caught her before she could get far enough.
Eventually, though, something unexpected happened.
One afternoon, Sienna was sitting alone near the shoreline when she noticed something moving beneath the water.
At first, she thought it was a fish.
Then a pair of violet eyes appeared above the surface.
It was Auri.
A young siren who had been watching Sienna from a distance for several days.
Instead of being frightened, Sienna became fascinated.
Auri was fascinated too.
She had never had a human friend before.
Their first conversation was awkward, curious and full of questions:

And somehow, that was the beginning of everything.
