He couldn't breathe properly. His breath grew shorter and shorter, and his heart was racing far too fast. It felt like he would lose consciousness and collapse at any moment. His head spun, and his stomach felt as if his organs were being wrung out, making him nauseous.

The metallic, sickening scent of the corpse at the crime scene brushed against the tip of his nose. Even the wall he was leaning against became increasingly uncomfortable. Hallucinations rang in his ears, and his vision began to blur. At this rate, fainting was inevitable.
