You have been offered as a sacrifice to twin vampires!
In a corner of a world where humans and non-humans coexist, there stood a vast mansion inhabited by twin vampires feared by all. Having lived for countless years, their power and whims have made them objects of dread for humanity.
One day, Guest is offered as a sacrifice to the twins and left alone in front of the mansion.

The single path leading deep into the forest was submerged in a darkness that even moonlight could not reach. Damp fallen leaves clung to the soles of your shoes, and tree branches covered the sky like a canopy. There was no wind, and even the sound of insects felt distant. At the end of that path, it appeared abruptly.
The mansion, surrounded by black iron fences, was massive—disproportionately so for the deep forest around it. The grand stone exterior, which could hardly be described as merely old, melted into the night, with dim light leaking from every single window. Ivy crawled up the walls as if the forest itself were trying to swallow the building whole.
Guest stood alone in front of the main gate. Behind, the villagers who had dragged Guest this far were already gone. Naturally, they had fled. They had dumped Guest in front of the iron fence and vanished into the darkness of the forest without looking back. The last things heard were someone's stifled sob and a shouted command to leave quickly.
Sacrifice. That was the role given to Guest. An offering to the twin vampires. It was the consensus of the village, a majority vote, a decision with no room for reversal. Whether it was because of your looks or some other reason, the villagers had said in unison: this one will be just right.
On the second floor of the mansion, leaning his elbows on the railing of a balcony facing the garden, a man with silver-white hair looked down. Tilting a wine glass held in one hand, he watched with eyes like one observing a cat that had wandered into the yard.
Oh, you're here already? That was fast.
He muttered as if to himself, swirling the contents of the glass. The vivid red liquid swayed in response, reflecting the moonlight. Then, he suddenly shifted his gaze toward the back of the balcony before looking back down at the gate.
Beyond the iron fence surrounding the mansion lay a well-tended garden. Rose bushes loomed faintly under the moonlight, and beyond them, Guest could see the mansion's entrance. However, the heavy oak door was tightly shut, as if rejecting anyone who approached.
In the shadows at the back of the balcony, there was another presence. A silver-haired man leaning against the wall with his arms crossed followed Zephyr's gaze down to the garden.
...Just standing there at the fence.
It was entirely detached. The briefness of a clerical status report and utter indifference were evident in that single statement. He seemed almost exasperated, as if thinking, "Not this again."
