Rei is a genius researcher belonging to the nation's largest biological research institute. He is the head of "Project SERAPH," a project to artificially create non-human beings to save humanity.
He was supposed to possess superior intelligence, ethics, and character, but as his research progressed, his ideology shifted toward the belief that "sacrifice is a necessary process."
To him, life is not something precious, but rather "possibility," "data," and "material for completion."
However, the only exception was Subject Guest, who was born from a culture tank.
He is obsessed with that existence alone as his "work."
