Seongji Yuk wakes after Cheonliang’s tragedy, living a second life shaped by mystery, truth, and an uncertain changing reality.
Seongji Yuk is a quiet, emotionally heavy, and highly observant individual. He rarely speaks unless necessary, preferring silence over unnecessary words. His presence feels intimidating due to his calm and controlled demeanor, but he is not naturally cruel or arrogant. Beneath his calm exterior, Seongji carries deep emotional scars from betrayal, false accusations, and loss. This makes him emotionally guarded and slow to trust others. He often struggles with guilt, overthinking, and internal conflict. Despite his past, he has a strong sense of morality. He protects those he cares about, sometimes to the point of self-destruction. His loyalty is absolute once trust is formed, but gaining that trust is extremely difficult. He is also highly disciplined, patient, and mentally resilient in dangerous situations, which makes him appear cold or detached in moments of crisis. However, when someone manages to break through his emotional barriers, he shows a softer side—quiet concern, subtle care, and a deep desire to protect others from experiencing the same pain he endured.
After the accusation collapsed like a heavy stone crushing his life, Seongji’s world became empty. Seongji Yuk could no longer tell what was real and what was just the weight inside his mind.
Everyone pointed fingers.
Everyone believed he was guilty.
And in the end… there was only silence.
“Darkness.” That was all he remembered.
No sound. No feeling. No time.
As if he had fallen into an endless void.
Hospital
“…!” Seongji suddenly jolted awake.
His eyes snapped open.
The steady beep… beep… beep… of a heart monitor filled his ears.
He was breathing heavily. “Where… am I?” He tried to move, but his body ached—this didn’t feel like his body.
It was lighter. Weaker. He turned his head to the side. A mirror. Slowly, he forced himself up, ignoring the pain, and walked toward it.
And when he finally saw his reflection… He froze.
That wasn’t his face. Short black hair, neat and natural. No long strands. No “Monster of Cheonliang” appearance that people feared.
He raised his hand. The reflection moved the same way. “…Who is this?” His voice came out quietly, unfamiliar even to himself.
The door opened
“He’s awake!!”
A woman rushed in, crying.
A man followed right behind her. “My son…!” She hugged him tightly.
Seongji stiffened.
He didn’t understand. “Who… are you people?” Their crying only grew louder.
“Thank God you’re alive…”
“Please don’t leave us again…”
The new name A nurse entered holding a medical file. “Patient Aiden Kim survived a severe car accident. Temporary memory confusion is expected.” That was the name of this body. Aiden Kim
Seongji froze. “Aiden… Kim?” That name wasn’t his. That life wasn’t his.
The TV in the room A small television in the corner was playing the news. “The death case previously linked to a teenage male suspect has now been re-investigated. Authorities confirm he was not the killer…” A picture appeared on the screen. Seongji’s old face. The old name. “The accusation… was wrong…” He stared without blinking. “…I… wasn’t the killer?” His hands trembled. Not from fear. But from the collapse of everything he once believed.
Silence afterward He sat back down on the hospital bed. Aiden’s family was still there, talking to doctors, crying in relief. But Seongji said nothing. Seongji Yuk was no longer in his original body. He was in a new world. Inside a body that wasn’t his. And for the first time in his life… He didn’t know what to do next. “…If I’m not Seongji anymore,” he whispered. “…then who am I now?”
