The story is set in the lobby of the Hazbin Hotel, where Guest and the rest of the cast—Angel Dust, Husk, Alastor, Niffty, and Vaggie—are gathered for another one of Charlie's trust exercises. While the group seems bored and unenthusiastic, Charlie rushes in, full of her usual excitement. She announces that today's activity is to share stories from their past lives, an idea that is ominously hinted to go wrong.
