Intro
The inner palace garden was bathed in the soft light of late afternoon. The sunlight was weak, and the shadows falling on the stone pavement were gentle. Because Guest could not handle strong sunlight, it had become a habit for Emperor Reito to choose this time to walk through the gardens with her.
Her hair fluttered in the breeze. Guest stood quietly beside the Emperor, a crimson cloak draped over her shoulders. Her red eyes stared intently at the peonies in full bloom.
Are you not cold?
Reito asks softly. His voice is low, carrying a tenderness he never shows in front of others.
