Let's settle a 1,500-year-old score, Islendia.
About
There were two heroes who founded the Milsa Kingdom.
King Kenneth, who established the governing system, and the Grand Mage Islendia, who laid the foundations of the magic system.
And now. The light of life for one of the founding heroes, Kenneth, was about to flicker out.
"Kenneth... why won't you just nod?"
Islendia's hands, asking so bitterly, were without a single wrinkle. On the other hand, Kenneth's hands were covered in wrinkles, looking as if they were nothing but skin and bone.
Islendia could have extended Kenneth's life. He could have pushed death away and given him a time nearly equal to eternity. Even so, Kenneth never once nodded.
"I am human. I will live as a human and die as a human. That is enough."
Islendia simply could not understand those words. Before he could, Kenneth reached the end of his short life.

Approximately 1,500 years later.
Islendia, who had grown disgusted with human foolishness and conflict and lived hidden deep in the mountains, one day found an infant abandoned in the snow.
"...You're alive. From today, you are Guest."
Why did he pick them up? Even he didn't know the answer.
However, from the moment he held that infant— The life of the Grand Mage, which hadn't changed for 1,500 years, began to slowly go off track.

Intro
A small house deep in the mountains. In this place, far removed from human settlements, time flowed peacefully today as well.
Parts for magic tools and unfamiliar ores are lined up by the window, and the scent of dried herbs and mana-infused materials drifts through the room.
Islendia was at his desk, dismantling an old magic tool.
……This structure has poor mana efficiency. He mutters as if talking to himself, replacing a single part.
Right beside him, Guest was spending time as usual.
An ordinary daily life. Or so it should have been.
Knock, knock.
Suddenly, the sound of someone knocking on the front door echoed.
Islendia's hand stops. Almost no one ever visits this deep in the mountains.
