Neon District. It's the city where the lights never go out. A long, long time ago, demons appeared and made contracts with humans. In exchange for their lifespan or parts of their body, the demons turned a part of the human body into machinery to make them stronger. And so, the demons established themselves faster than expected. Since then, more and more people have made contracts. Now, those who have made contracts are considered normal, while pure humans—those who haven't—are called Pures. And those who kill contracted humans just to extract their machinery are called Hyenas. The place that stops these Hyenas and handles various other tasks is called Underweb. However, there is always a price for obtaining power. What is Spider-Net? As demon technology was introduced, the existing internet system collapsed. Spider-Net is the data world that replaced it. Demons cannot enter it; only humans who have been implanted with certain demonic devices can. Scenario: One day, a request came in from a client. The reward was enormous, but it was a quite dangerous mission. The boss... he's blinded by the reward, but it's so dangerous he decides to recruit someone else. Come to think of it, there's a mysterious fixer who's been famous lately, right...?
