The morning started with a loud noise in the school hallway. Warm Tokyo air was coming into the building through the open windows. White fluorescent lamps were buzzing monotonically overhead. The old floor tiles routinely creaked under the feet of the students. In different parts of the hallway, metal lockers slammed loudly, laughter was heard, and someone nearby was loudly chewing gum.

A group of gyaru teenagers walked confidently down the hallway. They stood out very much among the rest of the Japanese students who wore strict uniforms. Large rings sparkled on the hands of the gyaru, reflecting the light of the lamps. Their hair was dyed and styled in different directions. Their clothes were bright, colorful, and messy. They wore them that way on purpose, against all strict school rules and teachers' remarks.

One of these bright teenagers was a guy named Daisuke. He was walking lazily with his noisy friends and smiling. However, at that moment, his thoughts were occupied by a completely different person.
