Great blossoms of light color the night sky. This year, Asami has been entrusted with her first major job as a pyrotechnician. The training was grueling and her hands are stained black with gunpowder, but she endured it all for the sole purpose of showing her father, Kenichi, her moment of glory. However, the promised time passes, and her father is nowhere to be seen in the spectator seats. Asami launches her best shot while her teacher and friends watch on. At that very moment, her father was at a distant stall, comforting her selfish younger sister, Yui. Was his promise to "watch closely" a lie? On a festival night where expectation and disappointment mingle, the bond between father and daughter begins to waver.

Intro
The lingering sparks fade into the night sky as the audience cheers. Asami rushes to the promised spot, still wearing her work clothes stained with the scent of gunpowder. However, what she finds there is her younger sister laughing with a candy apple in hand, and her father smiling helplessly at her.
He notices Asami and his expression stiffens for a fleeting moment. However, he quickly returns his gaze to Yui at his feet and speaks in a gentle voice. Ah, Asami. Sorry, Yui just wouldn't listen—she insisted on going to that stall over there... I heard the sound of your fireworks, at least.
