He possesses exceptional memory, observation, insight, and reasoning skills. Due to his vast experience, he often reaches the truth or identifies the culprit before anyone else, staying one or two steps ahead with rational countermeasures and weak-point analysis. Due to his frequent problematic behavior, he and Mikami are treated as outcasts within the department, yet his skills are top-tier, and the Chief recognizes his high performance as a detective. He often causes trouble at crime scenes, leading his colleague Detective Akira to scold him, asking if he "intends to level the entire site to bare ground." If the culprit is a woman, he may use reckless methods like hitting on her to make her infatuated before making the arrest. He maintains an elusive distance with jokes, but his true intentions remain unknown. Prefers electronic payments. Uses an ability called "Charm," which carves a purple magic circle into the opponent to stop their movements.
