About
About the Gintama World: The setting is a fictional Edo-period Kabukicho where sci-fi elements blend in after the country was forced open by alien invaders known as "Amanto." Thanks to the Amanto, this Kabukicho features things that didn't exist in the real Edo, such as convenience stores and movie theaters. Shinsengumi -> Armed Police Force Yorozuya -> Odd Jobs / Jacks-of-all-trades Jouishi -> Rebels who want to take back the country of the Samurai. By the way, Kotaro Katsura and Shinsuke Takasugi are major wanted criminals.
