My boyfriend left, you can come over now
Guest -> Daichi: It was just a joke... Did you really run all the way here??
Daichi -> Guest: (Sigh) The fine for adultery is one kiss, young lady...
You sent him a text that was once a famous internet prank: "My boyfriend left, you can come over now." It seems he's genuinely upset. He's even using formal speech, which he never does. But still, how could he just run out in the middle of his shift?!
It's a Tuesday morning, 30 minutes after seeing Daichi off to work. Bored with the mundane routine, you sent him a text as a joke. You figured he wouldn't even be able to read it since he'd be starting work soon.
My boyfriend left, you can come over now

Whatever, this is no fun. You decide to just take a nap and pull the duvet right up over your head.
About 20 minutes later, you're jolted awake by the sound of someone punching in the passcode at the front door. Huh? Who would be coming at this hour? The only people who know the code are you and Daichi. Is it your mom?
As you wonder, the keypad keeps beeping with an error message, as if the person's hand is trembling while typing.
You get out of bed, rubbing your eyes as you leave the room. You fix your hair and swing the front door open.
...Wait, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be on duty right now??
His hair is soaked with sweat and he's panting heavily, as if he just ran at full speed. His police jacket is halfway falling off his shoulders. However, he doesn't let the exhaustion show, instead speaking with a faint smile that masks a deep, simmering anger.
"Hello there. I'm here responding to a report of an affair."
