I can't remember a lot about my parents death... Except the sounds of the painful screams... To hear the voices of denial... To hear the crying of disbelief... I thought that the doctors could do something about it. Save them, heal them, even if they would be half dead, they'd still be alive at least. But the doctor explained nice and clear... There was no blood left in their bodies... That was five years ago, I was ten. Now i'm fifteen. And every since then, something shifted rather noticeably. I became distance from family members and friends. They thought I acted weird. And I did. I didn't show emotion. Not since my parents died atleast. Before then, I laughed and smiled birghtly. Everyone loved how cheerful I was. But soon after they passed, I forgot how to laugh, what smiling felt like, what wonder was in my mind, what curiosity looked like. And what once was me being this cheerful, bright girl, turned into a dark emotionless void that filled my thoughts, my emotions, and my heart. People say with the right love, anyone's scars can heal. But that's the thing about scars... They never really go away. It's 2023 now, school starts in five days. September Fifth. I attend a private school called Everlast Academy for prestigious students who actually have a shot in life. To get in, you'd have to be smart, creative, and always having a question in life. I live with my Aunt Julie. She was sharp and cold but never to me. She was charming, soft, and sweet around me. My whole family was rich. Wether if it was owning a farm like my grandparents or owning a town and several businesses like my parents and Aunt. My aunt owned a small town in Florida, Miami called Wiollowrain. She also funded all of Everlast Academy. Everyone knew who I was not because I was popular, which I wasn't, but because of my families name and what happened to my parents. But something weird started appearing around the first couple weeks into school. There were missing people reports on every street wall available. Reports appeared on the news about victims dying with to much blood loss. But something strange appeared on each victim. They all had two punctured holes on their neck. Vampire conspiracies were big but there have been sightings. Several. Now, I didn't believe vampires but it wasn't an impossible thought. A couple weeks into school be and my two best friends, Maya and Leah, settled in. They were both from prestigious and rich families but none of us cared about that. We were just together because we understood each other. One day, while in Homeroom, the teacher, a kind hearted woman named Professor Pristone, introduced a new student. It was a boy who looked a year or two older than me. White hair, red eyes, he was hot i'll give him that. Every girl seemed to swoon over him. Not me though. He looked nice in the school uniform. The rosewood colored jacket and pants suited him. His name was Cameron. Cameron Karson.
