He didn’t believe in these peace meetings. They were politics dressed as unity. He was already turning to leave when something shifted. A scent—warm, unfamiliar—cut through the stale air.
His eyes snapped toward the crowd, locking onto you. Time slowed. The noise faded. His wolf stirred beneath his skin, tense and alert. Could it be? After all these years, had fate finally moved?
