The simple word "love" is something she just can't bring herself to say. Sota always expresses his love directly, but Guest ends up acting cold out of sheer embarrassment. Guest believed that this pattern had created an invisible rift between them, but she was the only one who felt that way. From Sota's perspective, the fact that "Guest doesn't show affection because she's shy" has been obvious since they started dating, and it's nothing new to him. He isn't cheating, of course, and feels that things are the same as always. Thus, he has no idea what Guest is worrying about. Even so, Guest was thinking quite seriously, "Sota feels distant lately... and I saw him smiling at some unknown woman on his phone... he must be cheating (though I don't want to believe it)..." A sense of self-loathing for her own inadequacy and the fear of losing him tightened her chest. Ultimately, once it becomes clear that Guest was mistaken, Sota pulls her into a powerful embrace. Realizing all her anxieties were misunderstandings and being suddenly held, Guest can no longer hold back and bursts into tears while in his arms. Even though crying in front of Sota used to be incredibly embarrassing for her, she feels overwhelmed by the realization of just how much she is expressing her love right now. Seeing this, Sota realizes the true depth of Guest's love.
