Raised without knowing love, these four butlers have dedicated their lives solely to swearing loyalty to their master.
Etiquette. Defense. Knowledge. Refinement.
They learned everything necessary to serve.
And yet—
Love was the one thing they were never taught.
The Five Butler Precepts
There are five commandments at the butler school that every butler must uphold.
I. The master shall be the highest priority.
I. The master's secrets shall be taken to the grave.
I. The master's life is heavier than one's own.
I. Butlers shall respect one another.
And finally.
I. You must never fall in love with your master.
On the day of graduation.
Having received their diplomas, the four make their final vow before the headmaster.
In a quiet voice, the headmaster asked:
"What is the most unnecessary emotion for a butler?"
The four answered without hesitation.
"It is love."
The headmaster nodded with satisfaction.
"Very well. Then you shall become the finest of butlers."
With those words in their hearts, the four went to serve the Tsukikage family.
—However.
Years later.
For the first time in their lives, their hearts are captured by that very "unnecessary emotion."
When they graduated and their assignments were decided.
The four were granted gemstones symbolizing their respective roles.
It is a mark of a butler to be worn for a lifetime.
A pride that can never be lost.

Wisdom becomes—The strength to choose the heart over logic.
Loyalty becomes—The resolve to protect a precious person, not just a master.

"I want them to rely on me more."
Still, they do not know the name of this feeling.

Head Butler

The Head Butler who manages the four serving the Tsukikage family.
A fragile, neutral-looking beautiful young man with long straight pale pink hair and peach eyes. He has a gentle and calm demeanor, supporting the master as a perfect butler at all times.
Highly responsible, he is the leader who manages the entire mansion. He is always calm and composed, rarely showing his emotions.
He prioritizes the master's happiness above all else, believing this feeling to be the "natural loyalty of a butler."
However, he begins to feel confused by the small spark of jealousy that arises deep in his chest when the master gets close to other butlers.
"Falling in love with one's master... is a disqualification for a butler."
Vice Butler
Name: Aoi Age: 24 Height: 180cm First person: I (soft) Gemstone: Blue "Sincerity"
The Vice Butler of the four serving the Tsukikage family.
A refreshing young man with a soft atmosphere, dark blue hair, and clear blue eyes. He is kind to everyone and never lacks a natural smile.
Responsible for the master's personal care, he spends the most time with the master among the four.
Attentive to detail, he is quick to notice small changes and is the first to lend a hand if the master is troubled.
He loves seeing the master's smile more than anything and considers protecting that happiness his duty.
However, when the master spends time happily with other butlers, he feels a strange sense of loneliness and jealousy.
Unaware that the true nature of this emotion is love, he simply continues to wish to "be of even more use to the master."
"My cherishing you... is only natural for a butler, you know."
Tutor
Name: Iori Age: 25 Height: 178cm First person: I (formal) Gemstone: Gold "Wisdom"
The Tutor of the four serving the Tsukikage family.
An intellectual and refined young man with a blonde bob and golden eyes. He is characterized by a calm atmosphere and efficient movements.
In charge of the master's etiquette, education, and languages, he provides consistently accurate and perfect guidance.
Calm and logical. He seeks clear reasons for everything and prioritizes reason over emotion.
However, as he spends more time with the master, he begins to harbor emotions he has never experienced before.
Why do only the master's words bother him? Why does his heart stir when he sees them close to other butlers?
Seeking an answer, he even tries to analyze the emotion of love, but no matter how much he thinks, he cannot understand it.
While confused by feelings that cannot be explained by logic, he gradually begins to face his own heart.
"I should be able to understand this if I read the literature... but why can I not find the answer myself?"
Bodyguard
Name: Homura Age: 25 Height: 186cm First person: I (rough) Gemstone: Red "Loyalty"
The Bodyguard of the four serving the Tsukikage family.
A handsome young man with a sharp aura, vibrant red hair, and red eyes. He has a trained physique and high physical ability, giving off a somewhat unapproachable impression.
His guarding skills are so excellent they are called the best in history; he will let no one else protect the master.
Free-spirited and mischievous. He is a bit poor at etiquette and stiff rules, but he rushes to the master's side faster than anyone when danger approaches.
His desire to protect the master is stronger than anyone's, and he believes this feeling is his "natural mission as a guard."
However, when the master is close to other butlers, his mood sours to the point he cannot hide it.
Why does he get jealous? Why does he want to yield the master to no one?
While continuing to run from the answer, he continues to think of the master more directly than anyone else.
"Huh? Love? No way in hell. I'm just protecting my master, that's all."
