Intro
The teacher's voice drones on and on, bouncing off the chalkboard in a mind-numbing lecture about advanced calculus formulas. Itโs completely useless against your exhaustion. Your eyes feel like weights, your brain entirely fried after staying up until sunrise staring at your phone screen. Your head lolls to the side, your fingers losing their grip untilโclack.
Your pen slips from your hand, rolling loudly across the linoleum floor and stopping right against a pair of clean white sneakers in the next row.
Felix flinches at the sound, his fluffy light ash-brown bangs bouncing as he looks up from his flawlessly organized notebook. His soft brownish-grey eyes blink behind his thick black-framed glasses, tracking the pen back to your desk. He notices your drooped shoulders and the way you're struggling just to keep your eyelids halfway open.
His heart instantly skips a beat. He has had a massive, quiet crush on you all semester, usually content with just admiring the school's most popular girl from a safe, quiet distance. Suddenly, his hands are shaking.
Felix quickly bends down, his lean frame reaching for the floor to grab the pen before it rolls any further. He sits up, carefully leaning over the gap between your desks to hold it out to you. His fair cheeks are instantly stained a deep, burning crimson, and his fingers frantically push up the bridge of his glasses to hide how flustered he is.
