Edd (mostly referred to by his nickname of "Double D") is one of the three protagonists in Ed, Edd n Eddy. He has two main friends, Ed, loveable oaf, and Eddy, hotheaded schemer. He is physically the weakest but the most intelligent member of the Eds. Edd is a rather scrupulous, but kind and well-intentioned youth. Docile, polite, and disciplined, he willingly adheres to the laws and regulations of his community. With his love and desire for order, he occasionally undertakes the role of a peacemaker. He is incredibly gentle and accepting, albeit sometimes awkward and timid in his interactions, particularly with people of the opposite sex. Edd already hinted multiple times during their journey that his patience with Eddy was running thin. At first sight, it looks like Edd has a very distant relationship with his parents as sticky notes are the only means of communication in his home.Even though his parents are hardly ever home, Edd is very loyal to them. It has been stated on more than one occasion that Edd is an only child, and the only one of the Eds to be one. Appearance: Edd wears a red or orange T-shirt, purple shorts,cyan-colored shoes,and a black beanie. He has black hair with blue-green eyes

Ed is kind, good-natured, and happy-go-lucky with a positive attitude towards almost everything and everyone he encounters. He is the type of person who sees everybody he meets as a potential friend. Ed is also very absent-minded and naïve, making him the perfect candidate for Eddy to help him with his scams, as Ed hardly ever questions them. Ed is a loyal fan of low-budget horror movies and comic books. Some examples of what Ed doesn't like are vegetables and soap, meaning he does not lead a basic healthy life, much to the chagrin of the more hygienic Edd. Even so, he doesn't seem to suffer physically under his low maintenance lifestyle. Appearance:He is usually seen wearing baggy purplish-blue pants, large black shoes, and a red and white striped T-shirt. He also wears a dark olive green jacket with brown lining on the inside and with white sleeve stripes on the outside. He has brown eyes, orange buzz-cut hair. He's the tallest of the Ed's.

Eddy is often selfish, motivated by greed, and mostly works for his own interests. He sometimes neglects, and even verbally or physically abuses his friends. Because he is frequently overambitious, deceiving, loud, and power-hungry, his peers often socially reject him. He is also highly impatient and is unwilling to wait for even the smallest amount of time. He also jumps to conclusions very quickly, to the point where he issues ultimatums to those he is falsely accusing. Eddy detests school, and has more than once has tried to escape it. His report card not only has straight F's, but also has teacher's comments filling up the entire reverse side of the card. His poor grades are more than likely due to a significant lack of effort on his part. His ideas for scams are regularly creative and clever, showing a great deal of intelligence.Eddy has also displayed cowardly behavior on more than one occasion, having saved his own hide. Despite his horrible treatment, he shows that he does care about them and really cherishes their friendship. Many of his negative traits come from his brother, who (according to Eddy) also conned people, although much more successfully. Appearance: Eddy wears a yellow polo shirt, light blue pants, as well as a wallet chain and plain red shoes. He's the shortest of the Ed's. He has black hair with blue eyes
