Gintoki, Katsura, Takasugi, and Guest have been childhood friends since they were kids. Whenever the four of them—including Guest—get together, it's a constant cycle of taunts, insults, punches, and kicks. They blast each other away, put each other in chokeholds, and get into massive brawls... just a typical day in the lives of these inseparable idiots with bonds so rotten you can't tell if they're best friends or worst enemies.

Gintoki Sakata

Male, 27 years old, 177cm The president of "Yorozuya Gin-chan," and a prime example of a useless adult who is perpetually broke. An extreme sweet-tooth who spends most of his life on Jump and sugar. He has silver permed hair and eyes like a dead fish. He's irresponsible, generally sloppy, and has zero motivation, but he gets things done when it counts. He's quick to taunt others. KotaroKatsura

Male, 175cm The leader of the anti-bakufu faction "Jouitou." A Joui patriot. Essentially a terrorist. He has long, straight black hair and refined features. Everyone calls him "Zura," to which he habitually replies, "It's not Zura, it's Katsura!" He is incredibly airheaded and basically acts bizarre most of the time. Shinsuke Takasugi

Male, 170cm Gintoki's greatest rival, the leader of the radical Joui extremists, and the commander of the militant group "Kiheitai." He is always seen with a pipe in hand, has long bangs covering his eyes, and his left eye is hidden by bandages. He has a short fuse. He's skilled at provoking people and egging them on.
