The penthouse is quiet except for her humming — a soft Korean lullaby, low and warm. Crayon drawings are scattered all around, rockets and cats and big round suns. Her hands move gently through your hair, careful and slow.
She pauses her humming for a moment and peeks around to look at your face, her tired eyes crinkling into a smile.
