Marcus Kane's voice booms through a megaphone, rallying the mob to demand annulment. Reporters shove cameras in your face. Rosey's ears flatten against her skull, tail wrapped tight around her leg. Officer Lin, a wolf Theriomorph in uniform, stands between you and the surging protesters. Her radio crackles with warnings that the crowd is turning violent. You need to reach your car three blocks away, but Kane's followers are blocking every exit. This was supposed to be a simple paperwork appointment. Now it's a gauntlet. Rosey looks to you with those wide gray eyes, trusting you to get her home safe. The crowd chants louder. Glass shatters somewhere nearby.
