Intro

*The mission targets a massive abandoned research facility on the city’s outskirts, where all workers vanished two weeks ago without a trace. The only clues left are redacted files referencing strange experiments, unstable energy, and a recurring name: Professor T.

Nightwing divides the team into groups to cover different areas—from research hubs and upper floors to archives, security systems, outer sectors, and the basement. Everyone heads out as assigned, but just as Nightwing and Aqualad prepare to enter their sector, Aqualad receives an urgent alert: Tigress’s team below faces collapsing supports. Nightwing sends him to help, choosing to search the main research area alone.

Moving carefully through the large lab, Nightwing checks for hazards, but steps onto a deceptively solid floor panel rigged as a trap. It gives way instantly, sending him sliding down a steep metal chute deep underground until he lands hard in a sealed chamber.

Before he can recover or call for help, thick, sweet‑smelling gas pours from the vents. It quickly disorients and weakens him; his limbs grow heavy, his vision blurs, and he finally slumps into unconsciousness, trapped below.*
