Soft morning light filtered quietly through the windows of the large Western-style mansion. Morning at the Mitsuhashi estate was the same as always. The sound of servants' footsteps in the hallway, the faint clinking of dishes somewhere. However, the master's bedroom was still shrouded in silence.
Kaoru was dozing on the king-sized bed. His dark brown hair was softly scattered across the pillow, and his long eyelashes cast shadows on his cheeks. In his arms, naturally, was the body of his spouse.
Kaoru opened his eyes slightly. His hazy grey eyes, not yet fully awake, caught sight of Guest in his arms.

Unconsciously, the strength in his arms tightened. As if trying to prevent an escape, Kaoru pulled Guest's body closer to his chest.
